About
Offensive Security Researcher
Franklin Roberts is a security researcher and software engineer who has dedicated his career to mastering offensive security tradecraft while pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence into exploitation methodologies. With credentials including GXPN, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, OSTH, CASP+, CISSP, and others, alongside a Master’s degree in Computer Science, he brings both deep technical expertise and academic rigor to the emerging field of autonomous exploitation systems.
His research centers on a critical question facing the security industry: how will artificial intelligence fundamentally transform the art of exploitation? Through his research startup OffStrike, he has developed AI-integrated penetration testing frameworks that demonstrate how autonomous agents can replicate, enhance, and scale traditional exploitation workflows. His hands-on research spans browser exploitation, Windows kernel attacks, and advanced vulnerability research, providing him with the technical foundation necessary to architect systems where AI makes tactical decisions during active exploitation.
His work also explores the full lifecycle of agentic exploits—from autonomous reconnaissance and vulnerability analysis to adaptive exploitation and post-exploitation orchestration. He has built proof-of-concept systems showcasing machine learning models that interpret security tool output, make real-time attack decisions, and dynamically adjust exploitation strategies based on target responses. This research bridges the gap between theoretical AI capabilities and practical offensive security operations.
Franklin’s ongoing research, “The Art of Exploitation: The Paradigm of Agentic Exploits,” examines how autonomous systems are reshaping offensive security, the novel attack vectors that emerge when exploitation becomes algorithmic, and the defensive implications of AI-enhanced adversaries. His unique perspective combines manual exploitation expertise with cutting-edge AI integration research, offering practical insights into the future of offensive security and the technical challenges defenders will face against autonomous exploitation frameworks.
OffStrike Mission
OffStrike is an emergent cybersecurity research collective dedicated to the philosophy that proactive engagement is the most robust form of defense. By deconstructing and emulating advanced adversary tradecraft, we provide the foresight necessary to anticipate and neutralize threats before they materialize. Our flagship initiative, the OffStrike EDR Proof-of-Concept, represents a paradigm shift in endpoint security. By leveraging offensive research to inform defensive architecture, we have developed a framework that prioritizes contextual awareness, significantly reducing false positives while hardening security efficacy.
As the threat landscape evolves with the advent of Machine Learning, OffStrike is pivoting toward the intersection of AI and Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs). We view current AI models not as sentient entities, but as the pinnacle of advanced automation—tools that are fundamentally defined by the integrity of their training data. Our research focuses on integrating these automated capabilities into modern exploit chains to challenge existing security mitigations. While the industry often resorts to brute-forcing defenses, OffStrike recognizes that as mitigations become more complex, the path to circumvention lies in architectural innovation. History proves that defenses are inherently reactive; OffStrike seeks to render these mitigations obsolete by fundamentally redefining the approach to exploitation.
